Disneyworld Trip!!!!!

Here are some reports from our May Disneyworld trip, from your favorite youth reporters. As a parent, I always find is amusing what they remember versus what I think they will remember.

Hollywood Studios, by “E”:

When we went to Hollywood Studios, there was a cool ride about Toy Story. You got to shoot at stuff for points. I got 36,800 points and 39 percent for shooting accuracy. There was this ride called Star Tours. You got in a space ship and you felt like you were riding around the galaxy because of a simulator. It was really cool. We had meaty macaroni for lunch. Hannah spilled hers. I couldn’t figure out why there was macaroni on the ground until the next day. It was really funny. We went to the show Beauty and the Beast. The actors were really awesome. The dances were really good. There were really fun songs and costumes. I also loved the scenery. Sawyer made friends with the girl sitting behind to him. We went to Narnia prince Caspian. It was a movie showing part of the real movie and where they built some of the scenes. We saw the Little Mermaid show. The singing and costumes were really fun. I liked the animals and the music. We watched this really cool stunt car show. There were chases and things even caught on fire, even a person! Luckily he had protective layers on. I had a really good time at Hollywood Studios.

Animal Kingdom, by “H”:

My favorite thing at Animal Kingdom was the Expedition Everest ride. Expedition Everest is a roller coaster going up a pretend Mount Everest. It went backward down a hill and stopped. It showed us a shadow of a yeti pulling up a train track. Then it went down the whole entire Everest. It made me feel queasy! We also went on a safari. We saw hippos, all kinds of birds, Ankara cattle, white rhinos, elephants, and crocodiles/alligators and many more animals. It was very fun. We also went on a ride called River Rapids. We went on a big boat and went down a big hill. I got SOAKED! I didn’t dry off for about three hours. Daddy’s feet were REALLY stinky! So were Ella’s! We saw an awesome parade! They made a peacock, elephant, lion, alligator, giraffe, and a hippo. They had 4 trucks. Each was designed for Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. It was very funny!

Animal Kingdom, by “E”:

At the Animal Kingdom Park there was a ride called Expedition Everest. It was a long, long, wait and it made me feel queasy. When we got on, first we were like in this little forest. Then we went into the mountain. At some point we were stopped and the tracks were ripped up. And do you know what happened then? We started going backwards. I think at sometime we stopped and there was a shadow of a yeti ripping up the tracks. The roller coaster to see the dreaded yeti was awesome. We did something called the Kilimanjaro Safari. It had lots of cool animals like elephants, hippos, rhinos, antelope crocodiles, cattle, ostriches, giraffes, and zebras. We also did something called the festival of the Lion King. There were a lot of crazy acrobatic dances, and cool costumes. We watched Mickey’s jammin’ jungle parade. There were lots of cool floats. I had a lot of fun at Animal Kingdom.

Epcot, by “H”:

Today is Mother’s Day and Mom’s present is our meal plan here at Disney. She won’t have to cook anything the whole time we’re here!!!! (And we get chocolate milk EVERYDAY!!!) At Epcot they had a hydroponic garden. They grew 28,000 lettuce heads a year. They had cabbage, cucumbers, tomato trees, lettuce, red and green peppers and other vegetables. It was very cool. We saw a movie about energy. It was about a girl named Ellen. She was having a dream about energy. She didn’t know anything about energy. Her friend Bill Nye the Science Guy took her back many years until they got to the age of the dinosaurs. She learned all about energy, and how they got it. She went back to Jeopardy and won! And that was the end of the show. We also went on a ride called Mission to Mars. We went on it twice. Once green, (which was not very twisty) and once orange (which was very twisty and turny). It was very fun. There was a band we saw with men playing electric guitars, the guitar, the piano and the bag pipes. Olivia danced so hard that they thanked her at the end. Daddy thought she was going to die from heat exhaustion!

Magic Kingdom, by “H”:

At Magic Kingdom there were lots of rides. There was Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It’s A Small World, and Space Mountain. When we went on Space Mountain; it was pitch black. My belly felt sick. It was very fast. Once and a while we saw stars. On splash mountain there was animatronics, with foxes and rabbits and at the end there was a very big hill. On big thunder mountain railroad there was lots of hills and turns. It was lots of fun. We saw a show with dancing and singing. And we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. Magic Kingdom was my favorite place. It was very fun and we got lots of treats. (We stayed for fireworks. It was awesome!)
